Suspension Update: April 2025

On April 9, 2025, the design team of Star Wars™: Unlimited announced that, effective April 11, 2025, the following cards will be suspended for the Premier format.

  • Triple Dark Raid (Shadows of the Galaxy, 194)

  • Jango Fett (Twilight of the Republic, 16)

  • DJ (Shadows of the Galaxy, 213)

This decision was made following the results of the first Sector Qualifiers, which revealed that these cards had an unbalanced impact on the metagame.

Triple Dark Raid was originally designed to provide temporary power with some risk, but with the introduction of new cards in the Jump to Lightspeed set, such as Devastator (Hunting the Rebellion), it became possible to deal up to 13 damage to a base for only 6 resources. This gave aggressive decks an outsized advantage and reduced the effectiveness of control strategies.

Jango Fett proved to be too dominant in the game when combined with cards like IG-2000 (Assassin's Aggressor) and War Juggernaut. His ability to execute powerful attacks quickly, especially in conjunction with the new vehicles, caused an undesirable shift in game balance.

DJ was found to have too strong a control over the game due to his synergy with cards like The Invisible Hand (Crawling with Vultures). His ability to disrupt the opponent's strategy while simultaneously strengthening his own position contributed to an unhealthy game environment.

The design team emphasized that these suspensions have been implemented to restore diversity and balance within the Premier format. They will continue to monitor the metagame closely and consider further adjustments if necessary.
